Magnolia Mansion is a SMOKE-FREE environment. Overnight guests must be 21 or older (No children, no pets). There are no elevators at Magnolia Mansion, stairs only. Wheel Chair Access is not available inside the mansion, only in the courtyards & down stairs in the Big Easy Spirit Gathering. Late & Early arrivals, or late departures must be pre-arranged with Magnolia Mansion prior to arrival in order to accommodate arriving or departing guests.

Reservations are only guaranteed until 6:30pm and will be consider a "no show" unless the Magnolia Mansion Manager & reservation office has been contacted directly. NOTE: There is a $25.00 cash late check in fee for all arrivals after 6:30pm CST & a $50 cash late fee for all arrivals after 10pm CST.

All Specials, Promotions, Gift Certificates, Holidays, Special Events, Convention Dates, Packages & Wedding Parties Are Pre-Paid, NON-Transferable, & NON Refundable.

Hurricane cancelations receive a full refund, credit towards another stay or a change of date with no penalties or fees. When given a minimum of a two week advance notice, some room reservations & packages can be credited to a future date based on availability. This credit must be used within 3 months from the original reserved date & cannot fall over Special Event, Holidays, or Convention Dates.

AGE RESTRICTIONS: Because this is a Romantic Destination, we do not accommodate children. All Overnight Guest Must be 21 years or older. Magnolia Mansion is a SMOKE-FREE environment within the Mansion and our no-smoking policy is  strictly enforced and monitored by ADT smoke detectors. A designated Smoking area on the veranda available with ashtrays provided. Sorry, no candles, incense, red wine, Bloody Mary Drinks or pets allowed. No coffee makers or cooking allowed in Guest Rooms. No unregistered guests allowed in guest rooms or on mansion property at any time unless pre-arranged with management.

PARKING: Street parking is only available at this time, and there is plenty of it.

Magnolia Mansion is steeped in rich history and is historically known as the Harris Maginnis Mansion. It once operated as the headquarters of the American Red Cross during  World War II (1939 -1954), and now operates as one of New Orleans finest upscale Bed & Breakfast Guest homes. With eleven phenomenal Corinthian columns and massive wrap around Veranda, this property is one of New Orleans most photographed and treasured architectural  Garden District Antebellum homes (built in 1857-58). Magnolia Mansion is a strict non-smoking property (there is a designated smoking area outside on the veranda with ashtrays provided). Please note, this property is without elevators or handicapped accessibility inside the main mansion. (See Mansion  History.)

Our resident ghost (I mean host) will greet you in the breakfast room each morning with a complimentary enhanced continental breakfast, served from 8:30am - 10:30am. Breakfast includes a selection of coffee, hot teas, orange juice, fresh fruits (apples, oranges, & bananas), assorted breakfast bars, assorted pastries such as, Biscotti,  Cinnamon Rolls, Cherry Cheese Danish, three types of Bagels & English Muffins, three types of Cereals & a choice of two hot breakfast sandwiches.

Indulge yourself each evening (or morning) by lounging in any of the three magnificent parlors, which are also available for weddings & gala event receptions. Sit & mingle beneath magnificent crystal chandeliers, surrounded by luxurious antique furniture and tranquil elegance.  Many of our guests enjoy lingering for hours on the romantic wrap around veranda with their favorite beverage or reading a good book.
