• 06-26-12 – " We were leaving our room for dinner & heard giggling coming from the end of the hallway. We looked down the hall and saw nothing. The giggling sounded like a little girl. Thanks for the experience. Room 5A “Bordello Moulin Rouge”. "

• 12-11-11 – " My husband and I were so excited to be staying here, read that there were ghost in residence but never truly expected that I would be lucky enough to experience a visit. On our second night stay (Room #2, Napoleon Rendezvous) I received a back rub in the middle of the night (between 2:30am & 3am). It was a very gentle rubbing sensation in my mid back in slow circles. Woke up kind of drowsily and rolled towards my husband as I thought that he was rubbing it, he however had his back to me sound asleep. It appears that the “Caretaker” was in our room taking care of me as I had a hard day on an injured foot, very comforting to be a shored. My husband and I awakened next morning to strange scratching sound down towards the floor on his side of the bed, we thought it was something being moved around in the (Vampire Lovers Lair Suite) but when we saw the room we knew it was not, after some discussion about it, we figured it was the children playing with us. Could not have enjoyed our experiences more! "

• 12-08-11 – " Room #5A “Bordello Moulin Rouge” – when we first arrived in the room, I felt a kind of vibrational electrical “buzzing” in my core when we walked in the room like a bunch of energy was around. It was as if I had walked into an electrical “short”, if that make any sense. Over the two days, I felt it every now and then, and my husband also felt it when he woke up the first night at 2:30am & later at 5am. Our final night, Mike went upstairs to start a hot bath (it was in the 30’s – Brrr!), so I made a hot chocolate down stairs. As the kettle boiled, I wandered into the large room to look at a book when I heard a “thumping” in the corner. I looked over & saw a rocking chair, rocking on its own! Earlier, I had glimpsed something on the stairs & I was told a child hangs out there. I had a feeling that the child pushed the chair that night; I had the most wild dream of a dignified man in “Gone With The Wind” style attire, a party at the house here & an Asian (likely Chinese) worker, and a woman guest. Hard to explain but it so so real! I am a writer, so if you see this as a plot in an upcoming story or book, you’ll know it started at Magnolia Mansion. "

• 11-28-11 – " Room # 8 “Vamps Bordello”– Our first night here I was going into the bathroom and the heater came on I thought it was my husband. He was in the bedroom; he came in and checked the switch was not on. It went off and as I was commenting on how strange it was it came back on. This happened several times that night. Saturday night we went out to dinner. One door of the TV cabinet was open and one was closed we came back. They were both closed. Tim was gone for the night so no one could have been in our room. The next night my husband was feeling sick and I had been rubbing his back. After he told me he was fine I rolled over and left him alone. Out of the blue he said I’m fine and all I said ok! Wondering why he was telling me that again. He said you were touching me. I wasn’t even near him. We were in a king bed. He insists I was touching his shoulder at 1:45am I get up to go to the rest and I hear a huge bang right outside the door I look out and one of my tennis shoes is right outside the door as if it had hit the door or wall. It was a very busy weekend. I don’t think our visitors ever rested I had to see it to believe it! "

• 10-01-11 – " Room #6 “Lafitte’s Hideaway” – On our first night here we had our first experience with the hotels “little ghost”. They decided to delete my contact list from my cell phone. “How cut” What will happen tonight! "

• 9-22-11 – " I LOVE THIS PLACE! Thank you so much for a very enjoyable experience. The Mansion, rooms and grounds are just beautiful. Creepy experience in “The Gone With The Wind” (Room # 1). My Boyfriend was sleeping next to me. However, I had a lucid conversation with him, and I saw him standing across the room, when (in reality) he was next to me. Suddenly, the room felt extremely stuffy and I felt light headed after this ordeal. The Room had been chilled (comfortable) prior to this (experience). "

• 09-11-11 – " We were staying in Room #2 “Napoleons Rendezvous” I had put everything away in the drawers closed them all so when my husband came it would look beautiful. I went out to the front to enjoy the beautiful weather, about 20 minutes later I went back into the room & the bottom drawer in the Napoleon cabinet (Armoire), with my cloths in it, was ½ ways open… so I closed it. Went back outside to wait for my husband to arrive, when he did, we both went back into the room & the same drawer was ¼ way open. It was totally amazing for me because I am fascinated with things go bump in the night. "

• 09-05-11 – " We were sound asleep in the middle of the night and I was awoken to the sound of a (old fashioned) music box playing! It was gentle and sweet nothing scary at all! The next evening, during the night, my husband felt a gentle touch on his leg, as if someone checking on him, I saw a figure pass by my eyes while I was almost asleep! Then to top it off, a woman, in the middle of the night said “Hello”! So Amazing!!! Room # 4 “Southern Comfort” "

• 5-27-11 – " Had trouble with my phone, the menu was dancing around, so I reset it and stepped in the shower. Five minutes later, music is blaring out of the speaker phone. The band “Brat mobile” very strange, childish, pranky music, very strange! Room # 5B “Bordello Moulin Rouge” "

• 04-21-11 – " We are staying in Room #7 “Mardi Gras Get Away”, the “heart of the house” last night in bed, the blankets were clearly jerking down towards my feet. Later the night heard a very young girl laugh. "

• 3-01-11 – " Mardi Gras! Stayed in Room #2 “Napoleons Rendezvous” such a great rest! The only thing that was odd was when I woke up in the middle of the night to see a really tall ghost (Apparition) in the corner – friendly with (normal) clothing. We simply exchanged glances. He was peaceful & friendly – just like the house! "

• 2-22-11 – " My first “uninvited guest” visited me on my 3rd night. I woke up around 2:30 am & about 15 seconds later a very distinct “HI!” came right at my ear. It was a very chipper young voice from a little girl. She also continued to push on my mattress through out the night. When I woke in the morning, my cell which was plugged in all evening wasn’t charged. The next evening, my sheets were being slightly tugged from me. My mattress was being pushed on again. My iPod I was listening to & the volume was going up & down. When I lay on my side a hand glazed (touched) down my neck to the small of back. Thanks (to the spirits) for visiting me & making my visit a very special & memorable one. Room # 5B “Bordello Moulin Rouge” "

• 2-23-10 – " After taking a bath, I was over by the sink and the side of the whirl tub flew off. I was no where near in and my husband was in the bed room. It didn’t just fall off it flew off. Was quit interesting! Room #5A “Bordello Moulin Rouge” what a great night. Thanks for the experience. "

• 8-15-09 – " Our first night here I awoke at 2:30am out of a deep sleep my left arm had been stroked twice from shoulder to elbow. I though it was my husband waking me but he was sound asleep. The next two nights I woke at exactly 2:30am with the feeling someone was watching over me. I had been having migraines the last 3 days and felt like “who ever” was there was looking after me. Like a nurse. I myself am a nurse. I later learned of “The Caretaker”. On our third day here in the middle of the afternoon I saw a man walk across the room, I was standing in the washroom and busy, I just thought it was my husband returning. After speaking to him for a few minutes with no response I went and looked… I was alone. My husband came 5 minutes later. Room # 3 – “Vampire Lover’s Lair” "

• 7-18-09 – " We’ve been in New Orleans shooting segments about haunted places and paranormal activity. Last night, after returning from Myrtles Plantation, I placed my camera bag on one of the beds for safety. When I woke up this morning, it had been moved next to our lighting kit on the floor (perhaps the “Caretaker” felt it in appropriate to place equipment on a bed). Also – my computer had a very difficult time booting up _ something it never does. When it finally came on, I Thanked the Caretaker and house for allowing me to work. Room #7 “Mardi Gras Get Away”, "
